More than 180 participants from St.Petersburg and Leningrad region, as well as from Estonia, joined to River Narova Festival in Ivangorod

 

 

 

 

 

 

More than 180 participants from St.Petersburg and Leningrad region, as well as from Estonia, joined to River Narova Festival in Ivangorod. Teams of schoolchildrean and teachers  took part in the event. There were 16 informational points on the river Narova banks about Baltic sea and rivers, flows to Baltic, ecological challenges and eco-friendly ways to save nature. Local citizens joined to the action. Many people in cooperation with experts tested the water from rivers, lakes, wells on nutrients and microplastics. Concentration of microplasrics in Narova amount to 1.58 particles in liter.  

Friends of the Baltic, School number 1 of Ivangorod, with support of local administration, educational center Ladoga, Coalition Clean Baltic, Barents-Baltic Programm Nature and Man  More Baltic, less plastic and SEVIRA  projects were organizators of the event .
