Results of hydrological and hydrochemical observations on Seleznevka and Sestra rivers – A new report by Rosgidromet

Roshydromet published the results of hydrological and hydrochemical studies of Seleynevka and Sestra rivers.

According to the data received, between November 2018 and March 2019 there were no cases of high and extremely high water pollution  the rivers. At the same time, scientists found out that a high level of metals is a common issue for both rivers. The study also included the oxygen level, the concentration of easily oxidized organic substances, the phosphorus content, the ammonium nitrate concentration, and the nitrate and nitrite content.
